Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). It is a standard protocol specifically designed for IP network management nodes (servers, workstations, routers, switches and HUBS,etc.), which is an application layer protocol. SNMP enables the network administrators to manage network efficiency, find and solve network problems and plan network growth. Through the randomized messages (or incident reports)received by SNMP, the network management system get the network problems.
